Precision forestry is contributing to the qualification and quantification of forest resources. Digital photogrammetry is assisting in this task. The procedure is summarized and aerotriangulation results from a small project are used to extract positional information and to produce orthophotographs from the original aerial photos. Past, present and future aerial photographs can be used with the procedure. Digital photogrammetry is both economical and user friendly.
