This paper proposes the representation of the technical content of an agriculturalengineering- related article by a metadata block with ten possible categories of roles for the keywords entered. Such a system would be succinct, give qualitative relationships among factors, be easy to search by computer, give rapid visual access to technical points and make it easy for authors or reviewers to formulate metadata blocks. Ten examples of these metadata blocks are presented along with historic probability distributions for the most common keyword-roots in each category.
