Behavior of the Dry Bulb Temperature in Tunnel Ventilation System and its Influence in Poultry Production

In the last years, it has been adopted production systems for poultry, in high density (with more than 14 birds per square meter). In countries with tropical and subtropical climates there are needed to incorporate these auxiliary mechanisms systems of ventilation for reaching a comfort level for the birds. This work presents an evaluation of behavior of the dry bulb temperature in three points along a conventional poultry house, adapted to shelter 18 birds/m2, incorporating a tunnel ventilation system with negative pressure, sprayers, and laterally closed with vinyl curtains. Is also compared, through statistical analysis, the relationship between this variable and the weight gains of the birds, where is confirmed that, although the difference exists, for climatic variables inside the poultry house, these differences didn't affect the production variables significantly considered (weight gain).
