Thysen, J.G. Hansen and A.L. Jensen Keywords: eAdvice, Agricultural advise, Internet, Decision Support System A novel concept for utilizing the Internet in agricultural advisory, eAdvice, is proposed. The idea is to develop Internet DSSs, which also can be used as a tool by the agricultural adviser in his support to farmers, integrated in a larger traditional advisory package, and which allows the adviser to demand a fee for this support. A brief analysis of the interests and capabilities of the involved parties (Internet DSS providers, advisers and farmers) is given, and an implementation of eAdvice and an eAdvice enabled DSS is described. There is currently no evidence on the uptake of the technology by advisers or farmers. (Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
