Methods were developed to extract combine performance and capacity information from site-specific, geo-referenced grain yield data files that could aid in the enhancement of crop production management practices. Combine performance as measured by effective field capacity is a function of combine speed, effective header width and field efficiency. Microsoft (Microsoft Corporation. Seattle, Washington) Excel macros were developed to allow users to more easily extract this information from the yield data files.
