Shiraisi Keywords: Precision Agriculture, Yield Mapping, Coffee Harvester Although the coffee harvest has been done mechanically since 1979, with the introduction of the Jacto K-3 coffee harvester (Fig.1), the mapping of the spatial variability of the coffee crops has not yet become a commercially available practice. An automatic yield measuring system was successfully developed and installed on said coffee harvester. The production data, at every moment related to the data of a DGPS receiver, were automatically processed by means of a software specially developed for this acquisition and storage. Yields mapping in liters per hectare were generated for two trial fields in two farms. The necessity of a transformation factor among the different coffee maturation stages has shown itself very important and is analyzed. Soil fertility mapping and aerial infrared photographs complement the information for future analysis. The accuracy, difficulties and future possibilities are presented.
