This work reports on a full process of creation and manipulation of 3D models of fruits, built from 2D Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). We performed segmentation, reconstruction, visualization and interactive cuts on several data sets of mango and papaya fruits, in order to validate the use of this methodology for the study of fruit disease without employing invasive procedures. Evaluation of preliminary results and discussion on the challenge to improve such methods using the MRI are also presented.
