Abstract. Optimizing nitrogen (N) management remains a critical challenge in corn production due to high variations in crop N demand. This study evaluated a sensor-driven approach for developing site-specific N prescription maps by integrating soil-based apparent electrical conductivity (ECa) sensing, satellite imagery, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) data. Management zones were created using combined soil and vegetation indices derived from multi-source sensing data. N recommendations were generated based on spatial crop performance. The sensor-based prescriptions were compared with conventional uniform N management strategies to assess their agronomic significance. Results demonstrated that sensor-driven N management improved the alignment between N supply and crop demand. The approach was particularly effective in differentiating areas with contrasting yield potential. It was concluded that the integration of soil sensing and remote sensing technologies provided a well framework for precision N management.
