A profiling device for sugarcane basecutters

Abstract. the quality of sugarcane undercutting is an important index to evaluate the sugarcane cutting system of sugarcane cutter and paver. Aiming at the problem that the uneven terrace surface in Hilly and mountainous areas affects the quality of sugarcane undercutting, a profiling device is designed for sugarcane cutter and paver. The profiling device of sugarcane cutter and paver is designed by three-dimensional software, and then the prototype is processed. Taking the broken head rate as the index, the forward speed v, the rotating speed w of the cutter head and the height h from the cutter head to the ground are the factors. The optimal cutting condition parameters of the profiling device were determined by response surface optimization analysis, and the field experiment was carried out. The results show that the design of the profiling device reduces the broken head rate of sugarcane and improves the undercutting quality of the sugarcane cutting system of sugarcane cutter and paver.
