TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF THE ANTICIPATED HURL FERTILIZATION IN THE BEAN SOWING LINE CONSIDERING DIFFERENT CROPPING SYSTEMS

Abstract. Among the bean production stages, the planting system is of great importance and can be a decisive factor in the production cost. Thus, the aim of this work was to evaluate the best technical and economic performance of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L) through fertilization in pre-sowing compared to fertilization in sowing considering different soil tillage systems during the water period. The experiment was carried out on three soil tillage systems (conventional, minimum and direct) and combined with two fertilization systems (hurl and furrow) in the bean crop. A randomized block design was used in a 2x3 factorial scheme (two fertilization systems and three treatments) with four replications, in plots of 66 m², with dimensions of 3.3 x 20.0 m. The treatments used were: PC: conventional preparation; CM: minimal preparation; PD: no-till. As a traction source, a Valtra A950 4x2 tractor with assisted front-wheel drive (TDA), 69.8 kW (95 hp) at 2,300 rpm was used. A reversible disc plow, a grader, a sprayer bars and a JM2680PD Jumil precision seed drill were used too. Herbicide applications were carried out with a KO brand sprayer. It was noted that the no-tillage system with fertilization by hurl presented lower production cost, lower hourly fuel consumption and higher productivity per area. In relation to the tractor skidding, there was no influence of the soil tillages in the bean cultivation.
