Test and Analysis of Corn Threshing Performance Based on the Method of First Discretization and Then Threshing

Abstract. The threshing performance of corn thresher is related to the threshing method. The threshing method of commercial corn is generally threshing and then cleaning. This direct threshing method is easy to cause the damage of corn grain. In order to solve the problems of traditional threshing method, a threshing method of first discretization and then threshing was proposed. Through comparative experiments and high-speed photography, the threshing performance and threshing mechanism of the method of first discretization and then threshing were explored. The results showed that the threshing performance of discrete threshing was better than that of direct threshing. The method of first discretization and then threshing had the advantages of low damage, high desalting rate and continuous core. Its threshing mechanism was to disperse a part of corn grains by discrete units with low damage characteristics, break the arrangement rule of corn grains, and destroy the "tower" transmission rule of forces among grains, so as to reduce the force required for subsequent threshing and further reduce the damage to grains. The experimental results can provide a reference for the further optimization and application of corn thresher based on the method of first discretization and then threshing.
