Abstract.

Conservation tillage, such as no-tillage or less tillage, plays a significant role in improving crop growth, protecting soil and environment. However, in the double cropping area of North China Plain, wheat needs to be sown in time to ensure the accumulated temperature of growth after harvest of maize. The timely and effective treatment of maize straw has always been a difficult problem. In order to solve the problem of maize straw treatment in the northern part of Huang Hai & Huai Hai, in this paper an integrated machine has been designed for corn stubble breaking, straw burying and land surface leveling. The stubble breaking device of this machine adopts L-shaped straight knife in order to improve the effect of corn stubble breaking. Following the stubble breaking parts, a share plough is used to bury the straw and the layout of share plough was designed. Meanwhile, a typical screw conveyor is used for land surface leveling after all of operations. Field experiments showed that the machine has a good effect on soil preparation, and can complete stubble breaking, straw covering and surface leveling in one operation. The burial rate of straw reached 96%, the depth stability reached 95% at operation speed of 5.4km/h. There was no obvious maize straw on the surface after tillage. All the operation indexes met the design requirements.
