Abstract. Round baler usually adopts non- continuous operation mode, so this paper proposes a technical scheme of round baler continuous operation, and designs a pre-compression device based on this scheme. The device can increase density of the core part of the round bale and make the density of round bale core and the outside tend to be the same. Through the research of pre-compression device, the paper realizes the continuous operation of round baler and provides a technical reference for improving the efficiency of the round baler.
