Abstract. Many agronomy experiments have verified that oriented seeding can increase corn yield and is a seeding method with development potential. At present, there is no mature machine to achieve oriented seeding, and it still depends on manual implementation. In order to realize the mechanized oriented seeding, a kind of oriented seeding scheme was designed in this paper. It includes several critical stages. In this paper, the sliding-down stage along an inclined plane was studied. Using the EDEM software, virtual simulation tests were carried out to determine the structural parameters of the inclined plane, the angle and length of the inclined plane were taken as the test factors, a comprehensive test of 2 factor-4 level was carried out. It showed that virtual test based on EDEM can simulate the sliding process of corn well, when the slope angle is 35 and slope length is 50 mm, the test index reaches 97.97%, the seed can slide down stably, which will promote the further orientation in the subsequent stages.
