Abstract. Corn threshing is an important part of the harvesting process. The working performance of the threshing device affects the working effect directly. Since the structural characteristics of corn ear, the inappropriate method of corn threshing may cause unnecessary loss. Therefore, there is a high requirement for the structure of the threshing device. At present, issues such as high broken rate, high unremoved rate and serious entrainment loss still exist during the corn kernels harvesting. Corn threshing device is an important research content in the field of harvesting. This paper mainly focuses on the research and development of the global corn kernel harvesting devices. The research methods and latest research results in the design of low-damage flexible threshing device and threshing mechanism in recent years were also summarized. Moreover, the technical development status of threshing device was discussed deeply. Finally, the development trend of the threshing devices was proposed and the results of this paper may provide a reference for the subsequent threshing technology research.
