Abstract. The operation parameters which influenced fertilizing effect of double helix manure spreader was analyzed in this paper. First of all, with the ADS120 manure spreader as prototype, basic structure and working principle was introduced. In addition, a mathematical model of fertilizer was established based on these. And then, modeling establishing of ADS120 manure spreader was completed by means of SolidWorks. At last, the experiments of manure spreader performance about fertilizer consumption, operation efficiency and fertilizer width was conducted under the condition of different operating speed, skateboard opening and spiral speed. The orthogonal test of three factors indicates that operation speed is the main factor affecting fertilizer consumption and fertilizer efficiency, however, spiral speed is the main index that affect fertilizer width.
