Abstract. In this paper, the structure and working principle of a kind of seed metering device are discussed. Based on the discrete element method, the numerical simulation of the seed metering device is carried out, and the effects of the rotation speed, the number of holes and the diameter of the hole on the seeding performance are analyzed. The best combination of factors is obtained. The simulation results show that the qualified rate can reach more than 90% when the aperture is 5.5-6.5mm, the number of holes is 17-22, and the rotational speed is 35-55rpm, which provides a reference for the design of the prototype.
