Abstract. Sensors play an important role in the information age. In this paper, the basic concepts and characteristics of the sensors are briefly introduced, and the application of sensors in agricultural equipment, breeding, seedlings, harvest, storage and agricultural robots is briefly illustrated. At the same time, the requirements of the current agricultural situation are analyzed and the development trend of sensors in the agricultural field is predicted. The new sensor, fiber optic sensor, bionic sensor and wireless network sensor are focused on to expect the important influence of sensor on future agricultural development.
