Abstract. The green grass braid forming process is based on the actual life experience of herdsmen in the pastoral areas such as Qinghai-Tibet plateau. Green grass is formed to braids and braids are set on the grass drying rack to be sun-dried, and this way can speed up the dehydration rate and improve the quality of grass. In order to study the differences between braid-drying and natural tedding and explore the drying form of grass drying rack, this paper carried out comparison experiment between natural tedding and drying form of grass drying rack and analyzed the effect of braided process on forage drying characteristics.
