Abstract. Corn is one of the main food crops in the world, which is widely planted in different regions. However, there is a grain loss for the picking-roller type that is widely applied in the present corn harvester. In order to explore new way to solve the problem, this paper designed the comb-brush-plate ear-picking test bench. And carried out single factor experiment about influence of chain transmission speed on ear grain loss rate under this ear-picking condition. Experiments showed that when comb-brush plate picks an ear in the straight segment and chain transmission speed is greater than 0.2 m/s, the grain loss rate increased with the increase of chain transmission speed, and ideal chain transmission speed of the test bench is 0.158 m/s-0.316 m/s.
