Abstract. In recent years, the systems of monitoring of working conditions and variable seeding machine for maize sowing have been greatly developed This paper designed a system of monitoring of precision seeding of maize based on the embedded technology, using ARM as the Monitoring system and STM32 as the controller. CAN bus was used as the communication medium between the ARM and controller. The system could be applied to variable seeding of maize and can monitor the amount of seeding in real time. In addition, it could achieve the process of visualization requirements and provide references for the design of intelligent seeding systems . The experiment results showed that the error of sowing quantities was less than 3.12%, under the setting of velocities of different seeding shafts, and the error of sowing intervals was less than 4%., which illustrated that the system met the requirements of design and could be used for variable seeding of maize.
