Abstract. In order to provide basic data for the uniform micro-environment maintenance of greenhouses, a comparative analysis was conducted for the changes in the temperature and relative humidity distributions in the center, left, right, front, and rear sides of an unheated experimental greenhouse. The experiment was conducted under the conditions without heating or adding insulating materials. The greenhouse used in the experiment was a single-span double-layered plastic greenhouse which was set up in the north-south direction. The average temperature at the center of the unheated experimental greenhouse was determined to be relatively low compared with those of the left, right, front, and rear sides, while the relative humidity was high. It is inferred that the cause for the relative humidity at the center of the greenhouse being high was closely related to the temperature remaining low at the center. However, we determined that the horizontal deviation of the temperature and relative humidity in the experimental greenhouse was not significantly large. Therefore, additional future studies will be required to accurately understand the horizontal distributions of temperature and humidity in unheated greenhouses.
