Design and Test of Automatic Feed and Send System for Combined Trays Seedlings Transplanter

Abstract.

At present, due to the bad stability, high labour intensity and other shortcomings in manual transplanting, automatic transplanting machine has been widely used in transplanting work. In order to improve the adjustability and stability of the plant spacing and add the function of transplanting process visualization in transplanter, design a kind of automatic feed and send system based on the combined trays seedlings transplanter. First, analyze the relationship between the speed of the transplanting machine, the control time of the valves and the plant spacing. Then establish the mathematical models, analyze the simulation, and obtain the six valves‘ action timings. Take the ARM + XS128 dual controller as the core of the control system. The multi-sensor is used to detect the seedling positions, the stepper motor is used to control the feed mechanism, the valves are used to control the send mechanism and the timings of the six valves are used to adjust the plant spacing and make sure the equal plant spacing. Design the touch screen software to achieve the purpose of transplanting process visualization. The experiment results show that the automatic feed and send system based on the combined trays seedlings transplanter can realize the visualization of the transplanting process, the adjustable and stabilized spacing requirements of the transplanted plant, and can be a reference for the intellectualized design of automatic transplanting machine.
