Abstract. For the problems of the low degree of automation of existing cotton harvesting machinery control system in china, the complicated of cotton mold forming structure, no continuous harvest, poor packing and storage efficiency, high harvesting cost and labor intensity,a new automatic cotton round baling equipment control system was designed by integrating PLC, human-machine interface upper monitor and analog module and equipped with appropriate sensors and actuators with CoDeSys V2.3 software for programming. Final test indication: Research and design of the cotton round baling equipment of control system has realized the real-time communication between controller and upper monitor, information acquisition of sensors, automatic control of actuator. The control system can successfully monitor and control the baling process, meets the design requirements.
