Abstract. A nondestructive device based on laser sensor and air force to detect beef viscoelasticity was designed, including the hardware design and software design. The hardware system consisted of air source module, controller module, data processing module and displacement collection module. The software system was designed by LABVIEW, including the communication module, data collection module, displacement display module, data storage module and data processing module. After debugging and experiment of the hardware and software of the system, the air pressure was set to 38 kPa, the speed of the detection was 12 seconds per sample. The system was nondestructive and rapid detection.
