Abstract. Plasma is an extremely energetic state of matter. Compared with the usual chemical reaction, Low-temperature helium plasma (LTHP) has many kinds of active particles, which is more active and easier to react with material. So it is suitable for seed treatment. Quinoa seeds are used as research subjects to study the effect of different LTHP power on the seed. By calculating the variation of germination rate, germination potential and root length of quinoa seeds, it shows that the LTHP treatment of certain power can increase the germination characteristics of the seed. It is a good choice to use 20W, 40W and 100W to treat quinoa seeds.
