Abstract. At present, corn harvesting mechanization mainly uses the way of picking the head roller, the spike roller will inevitably cause mechanical damage to the ear. Aiming at this problem, this paper designed a picking-ear device in the type of chain comb brush type, it's mainly composed of sprocket and chain, card board, transmission shaft parts and so on. The width of Pick ears slot of Comb brush plate is greater than the diameter of corn stalks, and less than average diameter of the ears' big end, using impulse to take off ears. Based on the Adams software, this paper conducted the virtual orthogonal experiment about the effect of the chain transmission speed and machine forward speed on the collision force between comb brush board and ear. It showed that chain transmission speed is the key factor influencing the collision force, and the speed close to 1.4 m/s can meet the requirements of picking ears, and it has better effect, and the effect of machine forward speed on the collision force is not big.
