Abstract. Mass breeding hens is a effective way to solve the problem of the egg consumption in china. Since 1985, china egg production has become the first in the world. Although the egg production is very large , not all areas are suitable for mass breeding laying hens because china is a large country and regional economy, culture, environment and the policy are different. Also, the main way of breeding is medium or small scale that the number of the hens is less than ten thousand. Therefore, the study on the current situation and the national policy of laying hens in different regions of our country have important significance to promote the development of laying hens breeding in local areas and the development of the policy of laying hens.
