Abstract. King grass,which is also named as pennisetum hydridum,is triploid grass cross-fertilized by grassiness and pennisetum americanum.King grass has a lot of feature,such as rich nutrition,high yield,fast growth,widely used and so on.It is an excellent forage resources in the southern of China.This paper summarized the current situation of the king grass.To comprehend the achievements of king grass in various field,the article used the on-the-spot investigation and the experimental studies.Then putting forward the problems in the development of the king grass industry and introducing some relevant solving measures.
