New Structure Design of the Diagonal of the Container

Abstract. The frame of the container was not suitable for a high requirement. In this paper, a new design of the diagonal of the container was proposed. The aim of this paper was to redesign the frame and show a new concept that could ensure the container stand higher load when it was transported and loaded heavier goods. The material was mild steel channel which was the most common one to build the structure of the frame. The main parts that we redesigned were the frame diagonals and crossbeams. Hand calculation and stress analysis were used to analyse. The old version was hard to make and could not bear hard loads. The key areas could behave better by applying the new concept.
