Abstract. A series of steel-reinforced precast concrete posts were both field installed and tested to failure in bending. Fabrication and handling techniques are presented along with an assessment of actual field installation and bending test results. Use of steel-reinforced precast concrete posts in fencing, trellis systems and post-frame buildings is discussed. A history of precast concrete fence post research in the U.S. is also provided.
