Abstract.

A cargo trailer was constructed to be a flight center for UAV and drone research work in agriculture. The trailer contains an air conditioner, two large screen TV‘s, antennae access holes (in roof), a solid state computer, table, seating, and can be powered from either the towing vehicles batteries, solar panels, a portable generator, or onboard batteries. Run times were greater than 2 hours for the 8000 BTU window air conditions unit. Insulation was added to roof, but not extensively to the sides of the trailer. The trailer also contains the necessary power and charging components to allow for storage and charging of the UAV for flights and analysis of data. A second trailer was also constructed to allow a big screen TV to be viewed externally and allow real-time viewing of demonstration flights and for training sessions.
