Abstract. This work aimed to study the antifungal and pesticide effect of the plant extract obtained from the pear orange peel to treat hybrid corn seeds. The seeds were treated with different doses of the plant extract, packed in different packaging (PET and multiwall paper) over a period of four months (September to December / 2014). Corn seeds from the R1 sieve, cultivate DKB 285 Pro were used. To start the work the cultivar was characterized as the mycoflora, moisture content and germination. During storage were made germination, sanity and moisture tests. The results obtained allowed to verify that the PET packaging was considered the most appropriate packing for storage of corn seeds treated with orange extract; The most effective dose of orange extract was 3 mL with higher germination than the other doses.
