Abstract. In order to study the impact of vertical screw vertical screw silage-conveyor transmission performance on silage compression and filling process, which is under the test of transport characters in different structure and rotate speed. The crushed silage-aggregate of a certain particle size is chosen as the working medium. The simulation results show that the variable helix structure with the guiding rakes is conducive to transport. For the purpose of pre-compression requirements of crushed aggregate, the adjustable spiral has the larger filling factor. The results provide the basis for the design and optimization of the silage equipment.
