Parameter Optimization of the Core Mechanism of the Super Rice Precision Drill

Abstract. In the raising process of rice plugged seedling in the factory, metering device is the key of affecting the seeding performance.To improve the single seeding rate and reduce the leakage seeding rate of the cell wheel precision metering device, the cell was designed based on geometric parameters of seeds measured accurately by three dimension scanning technique. The limit speed of the cell wheel was derived. After the factors to affect the seeding performance was analyzed,the optimum parameters for the metering device were obtained by orthogonal experimental design. Prototype was developed based the optimized parameters. The performance test results of the prototype showed that the percentage of qualified sowing(1-2 seed per cell) was > 90%.And the single seeding rate,two seeding rate,reseeding rate and leakage seeding rate were 60.49%,30.12%,0.95% and 8.44%,respectively.The metering device can meet the precise sowing requirement.
