Abstract. Forage grass can be compressed into grass pellet by Forage Ring-die Pelletizing Machine as a forage grass livestock feed, pelleted forage is convenient to transport and storage. Ring die pelletizing machine, generally used the integral type mould die mechanism, cause the uniqueness of the mould disc structure. This leads to the existence of low efficiency and poor adaptability for different types of materials. A die sleeve into the mould disc combined mold plate structure for the main Forage Ring-die Pelletizing Machine is designed in view of the above problems. By changing the sleeves of different length and holes‘ diameter, the multiple aspect ratios are obtained for fitting different types of materials‘ pelletizing.
After theoretical analysis and calculation, the distribution of different diameters of die holes that set on a 45mm diameter die sleeve was obtained to achieve the requirements and specifications for different types of materials. In the meantime, the design of die holes‘ cone angle is helpful for improving the compression efficient of materials. The Forage Grass Ring-die Pelletizing Machine with double-roller ring-die system as the main structure transmitted by belt. It can realize forage grass palletization, and provides a theoretical reference for the development of high efficient and multifunctional Forage Grass Ring-die Pelletizing Machine.
