Estimation of Winter Wheat Chlorophyll Content Based on the Reflectance of Both Inflection Point and Green Peak

Abstract. In order to detect crop chlorophyll content better by using the spectrum analysis technology. The relationship between the chlorophyll content of winter wheat and reflectance at several special positions in the spectrum, such as Green Peak reflectance (Rg), Red Valley reflectance (Rr) and Inflection Point reflectance (Re), have been comparatively analyzed. The results showed that Re and Rg had a relatively higher correlation coefficient with SPAD values than that of Rr. The normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), the ratio of vegetation index (RVI) and the difference vegetation index (DVI) were calculated by using Rg and Re combinations. After the comparative analysis, the correlation between NDVI and SAPD is the best for chlorophyll content estimation. The chlorophyll content prediction model based on NDVI was established, with Rc2=0.6603, Rv2=0.6466.
