Abstract. Vibration harvesting is one of the common mechanical harvesting methods of ginkgo fruits harvest. The intrinsic characteristics of ginkgo trees such as natural frequency, damping coefficient and elastic coefficient and other parameters are close related to the vibration response of the ginkgo trees. This paper introduces the basic principle of vibration harvest, it construct the method of the simplified model and take ginkgo trees vibration dynamic model and the vibration differential equation by the equivalent mass, damping coefficient and elastic coefficient, which give the method of solving differential equation, the differential equation of ginkgo trees forced vibration is established, the expression of the dynamic response of ginkgo trees forced vibratory system and the inherent frequency system were derived. The damping coefficient have been measured through free attenuation vibration of trees, the elastic coefficient have been measured under certain tensile displacement variation of the trunks. The results show that the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the steady-state responses of vibration system are a periodic changes. The amplitude of the system is relevant to characteristic parameters of fruit trees such as height, diameter, density and so on, vibration mode of the ginkgo trees are mainly affected by the vibration frequency, amplitude and the ginkgo characteristic parameters.
