Abstract. It is found that more and more applications of corn harvest machinery are used in China. At present the commonly used corn ear structure includes roller-type picker and plate stripper mechanism. Plate stripping device compared with stick type snapping structure has simple structure, strong adaptability, low loss, low breakage rate. But it can cause larger impact on corn stalk and harvest impurity rate is high. Adopt a machine which can adjust the distance automatically do a two-factor test of forward speed and rotational speed of rollers experiment which the parameters are evaluated by the rate of grain broken, the rate of grain loss and the rate of bract included, and the results show that: pick the ear plate clearance self-adjusting type corn cutting machine can automatically adjust the pick the ear plate gap spacing according to the size of the corn stalk diameter, avoid the spike during the process of the ear plate influence stem drop-down smoothly. It improves that the picking ear performance and at the same time reduces the impurity rate of harvest.
