Abstract. China’s annual consumption of feed grain has been close to 40% of its total grain produce. Soybean protein, as the representative of the protein resources, was mainly imported from foreign. Thus studying on the highly efficient processing technology is one of the most important approaches to improve protein’s utilization. Drying is an important working procedure during processing fermented soybean meal as feedstuff, in which the drying process and equipment operating parameters would directly affect the product quality and production costs. In this paper, anew of Fluidized Bed Dryer (FBD) system for fermented soybean meal was designed and developed. And its yield could be a batch of 10000 tons in a year. Otherwise, a series of equipment parameters was optimized to good quality feedstuff protein and energy saving in drying.
