Abstract. Aiming at solving the problem that seed spacing uniformity became bad when maize planter worked at medium and high speed, A seed transport and delivery unit was developed. A simplified model of seed transport and delivery unit was established in CAD software Solidworks which was imported the dynamics analysis software ADAMS for dynamics simulation. Tests of Thee different advance angle combinations were done to determine the optimum advance angle combination at planter operating speed of 6km/h and 8km/h for improving the unit’s seed-filling performance, Test result indicated that the seed transport and delivery unit performed best at the planter operating speed of 6km/h and 8km/h when seed-grabbing advance angle of seed thrower was set at 5 and the seed-catching advance angle of seed conveyor belt was 45°, and radian single factor test of seed-guiding slot was performed to obtain the optimum radian of seed-guiding slot at the planter’s operating speed of 6km/h, test result showed that effect of the seed-guiding slot’s radian on trajectory of seed was non-significant, the end of the seed-guiding slot needs to be modified to reduce or even eliminate the seed bounce.
