Abstract. Soil salinity and temperature are major factors which influence dielectric properties of soil.To detect the regular of moisture measurement which based on dielectric properties, loessal soil in Shenmu county, Shaanxi Province and sandy soil in Dangshan county, Anhui Province were used to measure the output under different moisture content (4.4%~22%) ,temperature (5~50℃) and salinity (0%~1%) by the moisture content sensor which based on frequency domain reflectometry (FDR).The results showed that the output increased with temperature and soil salinity (0%~0.4%), and was no significant difference with salinity (0.4%~1%). The mathematical model between output, moisture content, salinity and temperature was established. The study is helpful for developing FDR soil moisture sensor which has temperature and salinity compensation functions.(Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
