Abstract. The development of forage mechanization in China started relatively late, recently with the implementation of the institutional restructuring of the national agricultural and grassland policy, the grass planting scale and the forage machinery market demand increases. Agricultural machinery manufacturers have started producing forage machinery or expanding production. And forage machinery manufacturers abroad are rushing into Chinese market. Thus, there are more and more forage machinery varieties, types and technological level, but the data on forage productions is messy and is lack of systematic statistics at present, and is not conductive to the grass mechanization development and decision-making. This article intends to build a forage machinery product information management system by collecting the relevant data of forage machinery products in China through multiple channels. The system is based on the WEB database python language and django framework with the third-party apps, like south, of django, providing managers the basis for development decisions by establishing a data model analyzing the forage machinery types and varieties as well as the geographical fluctuations and trends.
