In this study, for screening the PPE rapidly on farm with the developed rapid kit, we tested fecal samples of PPE infected pigs diagnosed by PCR method . As a result of this study, we present some results demonstrating that the kit could detect the Lawsonia in pig feces, and easy to use for PPE screening. But, from the rapid kit test result, we found that the non specific response to negative samples of for PPE is too high to use in the field. Therefore, we recommend that further research is needed for searching the optimum conditions for making the rapid kit to achieve very low non-specific response(Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
