Abstract. In order to study the size distribution of droplets generated by low-frequency ultrasonic atomizer, an atomizing experiment was carried out. Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer was used to measure the spring. Low-frequency ultrasonic atomizer (working frequency was 40 KHz) was selected in this test. 55 measuring points were selected in the experiment, 4 typical measuring points data were analysed. According to the experimental data, an assumption about the droplets distribution according with Weibull was put forward. To prove this assumption, cumulative distribution functions were applied to fit the Weibull curve. Furthermore the estimated values of two parameters of Weibull were worked out and the curves of probability density function of Weibull were fitted. fitting inspection ( significance level was 0.05 ) was used to examine whether size distributions of droplets matched Weibull. The result showed, primary assumption should be accepted, that meant, the size distribution of droplets corresponded with Weibull distribution.
