Abstract. The crop yield is directly affected by the irrigation of different growth stages. In this paper, under the conditions of the same soil and fertilizer, different irrigation water, the canopy temperatures of different growth stages corn in field were measured by infrared temperature sensor. The soil moistures were measured by online capacitive moisture sensor and oven method simultaneously.

The correlation and time domain characteristic of canopy temperature, soil moisture, environment temperature, humidity, sunlight intensity and wind speed were analyzed though the measurement data. The analysis indicated that canopy temperature and crop water demand has a certain time lag. Finally, the yield of each plots were measured. The time domain model and automatic irrigation expert system about canopy temperature, environment parameters and water demand was build.
