Traditional hop production on high trellis involves a lot of manual work. The seasonal preparation of the supporting wires that hop vines grow on requires manual fastening of pre-cut wire elements to the longitudinal cables. The work is dangerous, ergonomically uncomfortable, and often needs to be done under difficult weather conditions.
