Spatial Model for Wheat Cross-Districts Machinery Harvest Benefits Analysis in ChinaPublished by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, St. Joseph, Michigan www.asabe.org Citation: 2012 Dallas, Texas, July 29 - August 1, 2012 121340953.(doi:10.13031/2013.42007)Authors: Zhiqin Wang, Donghui Lu, Renpu Bai Keywords: Spatial Model, Wheat harvest, Benefits Analysis, Cross-Districts Agricultural machinery socialization service is the reality based choice in the course of the development of agricultural mechanization in China. It can integrate the small scale farm operation and the mechanization production. Henan province is the biggest wheat production province in China. The area of wheat cross- districts harvest accounts for a quarter of the whole country which has a typical significance in China. Based on the face to face interview, this study investigated the operation route and operational efficiency of machinery owners in Henan province. The average profit of the ones who participated in wheat cross-regional harvest was 128 Yuan/hm2. Based on the analysis for the wheat cross-regional harvest system, the intrinsic mechanism was derived. The Spatial Model for wheat cross -districts harvest was established to optimize the best distance between two spots that can achieve high efficiency and profits. The results showed that 125km was the best distance for two operation spots. The strategies for the improvement of wheat cross-regional harvest system were determined.
