In this study, a novel type of calcium ion potentiometric strip was fabricated using the screen-printing technique. The commercial ink was firstly printed onto the ceramic substrate in order to construct the reference electrode and working electrode. Then graphene film was modified onto the surface of working electrode by using one-step electrodeposition. The calcium ion-selective membrane was coated on the surface of graphene film by the simple drop-casting technique. This disposable potentiometric strip exhibited a Nernstian slope (29.1 mV/decade), low detection limit (10-5.9 mol L-1), and short response time (less than 10 s). Furthermore, the response potential of the developed strip was insensitive to oxygen, redox species, and light. The use of the disposable potentiometric strip for water and milk samples analysis obtained satisfactory results, which made it as a promising alternative in routine sensing applications.
