In the Khajura (0409) station the rainfall amount between 50 to 75 mm showed a falling trend from all three tests viz. the Kendalls Rank Correlation test, Turning Point test and Regression test. The monthly average rainfall of April, June, July, August, September and October months also showed a consistent result of no trend from Khajura (0409) station. Trend analysis of 44 years discharge data of the surface water source (Rapti River) showed no trend in average annual maximum flood and average annual mean flow from the above 3 tests. Thus, rainfall and run-off may not have any significant impact in irrigation. Therefore, it is not necessary to forecast the future trend of rainfall and runoff and its incorporation in the project planning stage. (Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
